There will be no trash pickup on Monday February 15th as our offices will be closed for Presidents Day. Trash will instead be picked up Tuesday February 16th.
CodeRED has come to Fairmont City. The CodeRED Community Emergency Alert system is used by the Emergency Communications Center to notify residents and businesses of critical situations and provide information regarding necessary actions. With this system, a specific geographic area can be selected to send messages to those within that area. You can register to receive phone messages, text messages and e-mail messages in case of emergency. The system is TTY/TDD compatible and available in Spanish.
St. Clair County will begin to schedule appointments to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine for the 1b population beginning Monday, January 25th, 2021. The first notifications for appointments will go to people age 75 years old and above. Individuals who meet 1a criteria are still eligible to receive vaccine.
St. Clair county, as of October 9th, 2020, is back in Phase 4. Phase 4 is the revitalization stage of the restore Illinois plan to reopen the state during the COVID-19 pandemic.
