Fairmont City, in conjunction with the Fairmont City Library, hosted a Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Library Center. And lets just say: It was spooktacualar and ghostastic! Zombie driven cars could be see lined up 45th street as the moon lit up for all the werewolves. Everyone had a great time, and we mean everyone. Katie Heaton gave praise to the event, reporting the adults had more fun than the kids. Ms. Heaton is the Mississippi Valley Library District Assistant Director and Representative of the Fairmont City Library Center,
Of course, it could not have been possible without all the volunteers. A big thank you goes to all of those who came out to make this event possible. We love to see how well our community can come together while still keeping their distance. It is safe to say at least 1 good thing came out of COVID-19.
What’s Next for the Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat
Due to the immense hype and ghoulish excitement created, this will hopefully become an annual event. On another note, don’t forget to stay safe by masking up, staying 6 feet apart, and keeping gatherings small and contained. We want to see even more ghouls and goblins that are alive and well at the Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat next year. If you have any good pictures from the Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat or any other event, don’t hesitate to send them to us at email@example.com or share them with us on Facebook. If you have any comments or suggestions for this event in the future, please feel free to share them below or on the village or library Facebook pages. Also, do not forget to follow our Facebook pages and check our website frequently for more exciting news and events!
